Television presenter Terri Seymour was attacked by a wild fan after the filming of American Idol finale.

The former girlfriend of American Idol judge Simon Cowell was left gasping, after the woman twice her size pounced on her and tried to choke her.

“It was all so sudden…. Very scary. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. She came over to me and said, ‘You’re that girl from TV, right?” the Mirror quoted Terri as saying.

“And I said, ‘Yeah.’ The next thing I know, this woman had me in a headlock and tried to choke me,” she added.

Terri was saved as the security arrived quickly, and dragged the huge woman away from her.

“The woman was double her size and if she had been on her own she would have had no chance against her. Thankfully her producer was with her and managed to drag the woman off and alert the police,” a source said.

The attacker was taken into custody, charged with battery, and later released on a bail of 52,700 dollars.

Dan Aykroyd has confirmed that shooting for third Ghostbusters movie is set to begin this winter.

It was earlier reported that Sigourney Weaver – who starred in the first two films – was unwilling to reprise her role as Dana Barrett.

However, Aykroyd has revealed that the original cast is in place to reprise the characters from the 1984 film.

He said that Weaver has signed on for the project, alongside himself, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson.

However, Aykroyd still fears the project could “blow up” “at any second” but he hopes the new film will herald in a new generation of all-girl Ghostbusters.

“I”d like it to be a passing-of-the-torch movie. Let’’s revisit the old characters briefly and happily and have them there as family but let’’s pass it on to a new generation,” the Daily Express quoted him as telling Los Angeles Times newspaper.

R ‘n’ B star Akon has reportedly impregnated a Uganda woman during his tour in the country.

Akon aka Aliaune Thiam allegedly enjoyed an intimate relationship with a Uganda woman named Susan Owori during his Africa visit, reports Contactmusic.

Susan, who is the younger sister of fashion designer Sylvie Owori, has named Akon as the father of her unborn child.

Akon’s representatives have not issued a comment as yet.

The singer is already a father to five children with three different women.

The Charlie Angles actress Cameron Diaz has surprised many a fashion follower by landing the June ‘09 issue of Vogue. Criticisms are already flying about what the actress has done lately to warrant the highly sought after cover spot on the style bible.

Regardless of this fact, Cameron sat down with the magazine to discuss the trials of shooting her latest film, My Sister’s Keeper, and her father’s sudden death last year.

“I think, emotionally … it definitely took its toll. Definitely. It’s the human experience. You know, that’s what the heart does.

Things are given to us, and things are taken away.
And I think the heart becomes stronger, more capable,” she said.

Queen of ‘09 issue of Vogue, Cameron Diaz

We must have a lot of music tonight, because the producers have done away with all the silly banter that pads this show on most weeks.

We come from commercial straight into the finalist girls, lined up, singing Fergie’s Glamorous. Then Allison Iraheta introduces Fergie for a bit of Big Girls Don’t Cry, and then it’s on to the Black Eyed Peas for Boom Boom Pow and a few mysterious seconds of silence and a weird, static camera angle (did somebody say or do something they shouldn’t have?).

Now, it’s back to the awards. This time, it’s “Best Attitude” and the nominees include Bikini Girl, who provided our first clue just how annoying Kara DioGuardi could be (could you imagine the kind of revenge Kara could have exacted if Bikini Girl had won and Kara wrote her song); Alexis Cohen, the middle-finger woman; and Tiffany Shedd, who’s never going to give up singing, no matter what those crazy judges say (she, also, would have done a great job with No Boundaries).

And bikini-clad Katrina Darrell wins the award. She’s been working on her tan since getting sent home.

Black Eyed Peas and the return of “katrina darrell”

I’m going to have to start watching these finales more often. It’s like the producers finally said, “Okay let’s show you what we were hoping you’d develop into” to all the contestants.
I can’t imagine that Allison Iraheta would ever have thought to do Time After Time on her own (at least this softly), but bring Cyndi Lauper and a hammered dulcimer, and it’s a nice little moment, even if their voices don’t really fit together.

Ryan briefly interviews Kris’ mom and dad, who seem to be having so much fun they’ve forgotten there’s a competition involved (or maybe they’re just being as gracious as Kris was last night).
Then Ryan moves over to Adam’s parents, who seem every bit as nice.
