Sean “Puffy” Combs may find himself dragged into the case between Jennifer Lopez and her former husband Ojani Noa over the possible existence of an alleged sex tape involving the former couple.
Ed Meyer, Noa’’s business manager, said he may call Combs, who previously dated the singer for over two years, to the witness stand as part of the proceedings over Noa’’s attempt to release a video he shot of the star when they were married.
The legal team for the actress won an injunction blocking the release on the grounds that the video was private and personal.
“Ojani’’s footage is not a sex tape. In addition to kissing women, there are points where she’’s lap dancing Ojani . All with her clothes on. We”re trying to establish that it’’s not a sex tape and therefore usable in Ojani’’s movie,” the New York Post quoted Meyer as saying.
Jay Lavely, Lopez’’s lawyer, said: “Ed Meyer’’s comments are false and ridiculous. Ms. Lopez will be completely vindicated on her claims in this matter.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had other worries on their minds at last year’’s Academy Award ceremony than Jennifer Aniston’’s appearance onstage, comedy writer Bruce Vilanch has revealed.
Vilanch said he informed the couple about the “nostril camera” before former Mrs. Pitt went onstage.
“I went to Brad and Angelina, who were sitting in the front row, and warned them they had the nostril cam planted on the floor underneath them, looking up,” the New York Post quoted Vilanch as saying.
“Mostly, they were not delighted about the angle, because nobody looks great from there. They knew there would be reaction shots of them, and they knew Aniston was going to be on.
“They were more bothered about the nostril cam. Brad asked, ”Any chance we could kick it and break it?”,” he added.

As rumours of Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie breaking-up picks momentum, a handwriting expert has said that an autograph the actress recently gave a fan shows she is under stress.
The couple appeared more affectionate than usual at the Directors Guild of America Awards on January 30, but expert Sheila Lowe has revealed that the long extended final stroke of Jolie’s last name in the autograph “can add up to feeling pressured, with a need to protect oneself”.
“Hers has always been an extremely simplified signature, and this one is even more so. It’s like shorthand. It could be a result of stress, the need to keep things on the surface and simple,” Us magazine quoted Lowe as saying.
“The extremely long, rightward ending stroke is symbolic of holding others at bay. Think of an outstretched arm: Stand back!” she said, adding that signatures can be more difficult to decipher when written quickly.
Similarly, Patti Stanger of Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker, recently said that Jolie “shows possessiveness and a desire not to lose Brad…but defensive in case she does”.
Bart Baggett, creator of the Handwriting Wizard, says Jolie’s signature has “large beginning letters, which indicates confidence and a healthy ego”.
He compared her signature to one from 2006, toward the beginning of her relationship with Pitt.
“She has learned the art of compromise and has more humility than before,” he said.
“The angles, the analytical, masculine qualities are less. She has more feminine, supportive handwriting.
“It is more of a mother trait than a demise in the relationship. Her ego is still strong,” Baggett added.

MumbaiAamir Khan’s Father Tahir Hussain Passes Away, Tahir Hussain, well-known filmmaker and Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s father, died of a massive heart attack here Tuesday morning, sources close to the family said.
He is survived by his wife and two sons, Aamir and Faisal, and two daughters, Farhat and Nikhat.
Hussain is known for producing hits like ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’ (1993) that starred son Aamir, ‘Dulha Bikta Hai’ (1982), ‘Zakhmee’ (1975), ‘Anamika’ (1973) and ‘Caravan’ (1971).
In 1990, he made his directorial debut with ‘Tum Mere Ho’ with Aamir and Juhi Chawla.
Family sources said Hussain died at Aamir’s residence in Bandra. Aamir and his wife Kiran are in the US for the Sundance Festival and are taking the first flight home. Hussain’s grandson, Imran Khan, who made his debut with ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’, is in New Zealand and will also be coming back.
LOS ANGELES: Oscar Nominations 2010, Hollywood Counts Down to Oscar Nominations, Hollywood was counting down the hours to nominations for the Oscars, with low budget Iraq war drama “The Hurt Locker” aiming to seal its front-runner status in the best picture race.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will reveal the nominees before hundreds of media packed into the Samuel Goldwyn Theater for the announcement, at 5:38 am local time (1338 GMT Tuesday).
The announcement serves as a starting pistol for weeks of frenzied campaigning by studios bidding to push the claims of their respective films ahead of the Oscars, which take place this year on March 7.
All eyes are on the battle for best picture, where “The Hurt Locker” has emerged as the favorite to thwart James Cameron’s science fiction blockbuster “Avatar,” the most expensive film ever made.
The contrast between the two films couldn’t be more stark.
Cameron’s film — with a reported budget of 500 million dollars — has rewritten the box office record books, earning more than two billion dollars since December to become the highest grossing film in history, ahead of his own “Titanic” (1997).
Yet it is “The Hurt Locker” — directed by Cameron’s ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow — which has become a surprise contender after winning a series of important awards regarded as indicators of likely Oscars success.
As a commercial venture, the film has flopped, earning just 16 million dollars worldwide after costing around 15 million dollars.
But Bigelow’s gripping story about a US Army bomb disposal squad in Iraq has been a critical darling, picking up numerous awards this year.
The latest of those came on Saturday, when Bigelow pipped Cameron to the Directors Guild of America (DGA) Awards top prize — the first time a woman has ever won the award.
In 62 years, only six winners of the DGA award have failed to go on and win the corresponding best director Oscar — and the directing Oscar often goes to the film which wins best picture.
Bigelow’s film also scored a surprise win at the Producers Guild of America Awards in January, another reliable Oscars barometer.
“‘The Hurt Locker’ is definitely the front-runner,” said Tom O’Neil, an awards season pundit for the Los Angeles Times’s theenvelope.com.
“There doesn’t seem to be any confusion. There is a clear consensus within the industry, which is strange because ‘The Hurt Locker’ is a movie without stars, it’s made no money.
“In recessionary times, voters seem to be turning their back on the most successful film ever made in favor of a money loser.”
Oscars organizers doubled the number of best picture nominees in a move analysts have said was intended to help boost television ratings for the awards show, which increased by 13 percent in 2009 after hitting a record low in 2008.
The expanded number of nominees could see several interesting sub-plots unfold, with Pixar’s “Up” likely to be only the second animated film in Oscars history to win a best picture nomination.
Science-fiction — a genre traditionally ignored at the Oscars — could also be well represented, with “District 9″ and “Star Trek” both outside bets to join “Avatar” on the shortlist.
While the best picture race is close, the competition for the coveted acting awards is starting to acquire a look of inevitability.
Popular Hollywood veteran Jeff Bridges is the heavy favorite in the best actor race after already winning a slew of honors for his portrayal of a washed-up country singer in the drama “Crazy Heart.”
His likely rivals are expected to include George Clooney for “Up In the Air,” Morgan Freeman for “Invictus” and Colin Firth for “A Single Man.”
In the best actress stakes, Sandra Bullock has emerged as a front-runner after winning at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Bullock’s accolades have come for her performance in “The Blind Side,” where she plays a southern housewife who takes in homeless black teen Michael Oher, who goes on to become an American football star.
However, Bullock is expected to face stiff competition from perennial Oscar favorite Meryl Streep, who is tipped to pick up her 16th Academy Award nomination for her performance in “Julie & Julia.”
“There’s still some suspense about the best actress but it looks like Bullock has the momentum,” O’Neil said.
In the supporting acting categories, “Inglourious Basterds” star Christoph Waltz and Mo’Nique of the drama “Precious” are favorites.
Simon Cowell is worried because the next Britain’s Got Talent series has a severe dearth of talent.
A disappointed Cowell dubbed the latest auditions as the “worst ever”.
Cowell and fellow judges Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan apologised to the 1,600-strong audience at the Cardiff leg of the auditions for the poor show they had witnessed.
“You have just witnessed one of the worst days in Got Talent history,” the Daily Star quoted Cowell, as saying.
Among the performers were a dancing dog, which refused to dance, a teen whose talent was chopping wood with an axe and a 71-year-old belly dancer.
Simon told one dance troupe they were “appalling, awful and looked like a bunch of penguins”.
“This afternoon there have been no potential winners and no talent. It was one of the worst shows we’ve ever had,” Amanda said.
