Actress Hilary Duff has confirmed her engagement to hockey player boyfriend Mike Comrie.

Confirming rumors that the actress, who recently appeared on Gossip Girl, would soon be hearing wedding bells, her rep says that the Edmonton Oilers player, 29, did indeed propose.

“Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie were engaged this weekend while vacationing in Hawaii,” People mag quoted Duff’s rep Nanci Ryder, as saying.

She added: “After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news. They are thankful for all of your warm wishes.”

Early in their courtship, when he was with the New York Islanders, Comrie surprised Duff, 22, with a Mercedes for her birthday.

Duff, 22, has been romancing the Edmonton Oilers player, 29, since 2007.

Actress Carey Mulligan has refuted rumours of starring in the remake of ”My Fair Lady.”

Earlier this year, Keira Knightley had withdrawn from the project.

“No (it’’s not true). I would love to, but I”m not signed on to that,” the Daily Express quoted Mulligan as saying.

Also, Natalie Portman dismissed rumours of playing the part of Eliza Doolittle as “not true.”

Audrey Hepburn had made the character popular with her performance in the 1964 musical.

Lady GaGa enjoyed a romp in a barn in the run-up to the Brits Award, it has emerged.

The ””Poker Facer”” hitmaker borrowed the outhouse from farmer Howard Baines for the 45-minute fling.

In fact Baines, of Crofton, near Wakefield, West Yorks, even laid on extra hay for his celebrity client.

“It was a favour for a pal. I never charged her. I respected her privacy,” the Daily Star quoted him a saying.

Actress Scarlett Johansson has revealed how she continued acting a scene even when actor Liev Schreiber’s saliva was dripping from her face.

Schreiber, 42, and Johansson, 25, were performing in Arthur Miller’s Broadway show ‘A View From The Bridge’ when the incident took place.

In the play Johansson portrays a 17-year-old girl in 1950s New York with Schreiber as her uncle, and they had to perform a scene in which they had a heated argument.

But the scene became all too real when Schreiber’s saliva hit Johansson on the forehead.

“We’re really close to one another and we have these scenes where he’s getting really upset and there’s a lot of rage,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

“A couple of weeks ago we were doing this scene. He’s right here (in my face) and he’s screaming at me and all of a sudden – it happened almost in slow motion – I saw it.

“These pearls of spittle. And then this one asteroid of a loogie (landed on my forehead) made that flicking sound,” she revealed.

But Johansson refused to stop the show after the sticky mishap, and continued to perform with saliva dripping down her face.

“Any normal person would wipe it away but I felt this show must go on… he saw it, I saw it. It was awful,” she added.

Johansson and Schreiber’s limited run is scheduled to end on April 4.

Lady GaGa has fuelled speculation that she has been struggling with her stardom after her “weird” behaviour at a photo shoot for Q Magazine.

The 23-year-old singer faced the camera nearly naked and swathed in chainmail as she grabbed her crotch.

But she was said to have bursted into tears halfway through before irking the photographers with her tantrums at the Mayfair Hotel in London, The Mirror reported.

The Poker Face hitmaker apparently hated the snaps and began crying and walked out. She later insister she would only continue if her boyfriend went behind the lens instead.

A source said: “The magazine wasn”t going to stand for that so they told her people where to go. Her behaviour was weird.”

Three Indian films—“Gulaal”, “Delhi-6”, and “Dev D.”—are being shown in famous “38th Belgrade International Film Festival” (FEST) being held in Serbia from February 19 to 28.

“Gulaal”, directed by Anurag Kashyap, revolves around a Rajput boy who lost his virtuousness in the dark world of betrayal and politics. Cast includes Kay Kay Menon, Jesse Randhawa, Ayesha Mohan, and Mahie Gill.

“Delhi-6”, directed by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, is about hope, love, and discovery of self amidst the chaotic but touching life inside walled city of India’s capital Delhi. Cast includes Waheeda Rehman, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, and Om Puri.

“Dev. D”, directed by Anurag Kashyap, is based on Saratchandra Chatterjee’s famous novel. It stars Abhay Deol, Mahie Gill, and Kalki Koechlin.

FEST is also showing “Ramchand Pakistani”, which is about a Pakistani Hindu father and his son, who accidently cross the border to India. Directed by Mehreen Jabbar, it stars Shaood Alvi, Adarsh Ayaz, Atif Badar, Karim Bux Baloch and Nandita Das.

“Videocracy” (Erik Gandini), a documentary being shown in the FEST, about Italians consumed in celebrity worship which also shows Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, was partly shot in India.
