Singer Jessica Simpson has revealed that while she was concerned about reports criticising her weight gain, she found that many countries outside the US prefer their women to be big.

Simpson, 29, who had made a trip to Africa recently for a programme for VH1 about the world’s various social standards of beauty, was shocked to find that she was considered too underweight to be attractive in their culture.

According to Digital Spy, Simpson revealed one trip to Uganda with friend her CaCee Cobb that found particularly eye opening.

“The men told CaCee and I that we would have to [gain weight] for them to consider marrying us!” the Daily Telegraph quoted her as telling Us Weekly.

The ‘Break-Up’ actress flaunted a mini dress even in the cold weather.

The pair was present to promote their new movie ‘The Bounty Hunter’.

“We have a blast together and she appreciates that Celtic manner,” the Telegraph quoted Butler as saying.

He added: “There’’s nothing diva-ish about her, she’’s very down to earth, very sure of herself and who she is, and I”m like a little kid, who doesn”t take myself too seriously.

“We had a fun script and a great director, so we just had to dive in and it was a blast.”

Meanwhile, Aniston added: “I love my Gerry. We just lucked out – director fantastic, Gerry fantastic, our crew, New York – you just can”t go wrong.”

Rocker Billy Corgan has blasted John Mayer for dubbing Jessica Simpson “sexual napalm.”

“He’’s trying to destroy his career,” the New York Daily News quoted Corgan, as telling Rolling Stone.

The Smashing Pumpkins star, 42, went on: “Rather than take a year off or change his musical direction, some part of it is irritating his soul to the point where he’’s trying to blow it up.”

Corgan said Mayor is “a talented guy,” and it is “hard to watch someone literally burn their career to the ground – speaking as somebody who’’s done it.”

In the March issue of Playboy, Mayer, 32, dished dirt on his ex-girlfriend Simpson, 29, by saying she was “crazy” in bed.

But Corgan believes Mayer should have just kept mum.

He said: “I think for any person who has celebrity to sort of drop rocks at somebody else’’s feet like that, there’’s things you should really just keep your mouths shut on.

“There’’s things that should just be left alone.”

While Corgan did not reveal if he ever shared a relationship with Simpson, he previously told Rolling Stone that he had feelings for her.

He said: “Sometimes people just like being around each other, and good things come out of that.

“My goal in life is to love whoever I think is worth loving, and I think if people knew her like I knew her, they would love her like I do. It’’s really simple.”

Billy Corgan blasts John Mayer over Jessica Simpson comments

Robbie Williams is said to have offered his former Take That bandmate Mark Owen his LA mansion after the latter’s wife threw him out over his womanising.

Williams, 36, said Owen, 38, could use his Los Angeles home for himself or as a place where he could go with his wife, Emma, 33, to talk through their problems.

“Mark has confessed to having issues with booze and with his own substance abuse past,” the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

“Robbie is the perfect person to offer him support,” the source added.

Owen, who has children Elwood, three, and Willow Rose, one, with Emma, swore that he had been faithful to her since their wedding five months ago.

“You loved me and I’ve let you down. I’m sorry,” he said.

“I’m so deeply sorry for the pain my actions have caused my family and friends.

“I’d like to ask the media to please respect the privacy of my wife and children during this difficult time,” he stated.

Kristen Stewart says she was nervous and did a lot of funny things on Oscar’s night, but the actress is proud she didn’t “fall down”.

Stewart, who presented a montage of horror films with Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner, confesses she was nervy speaking before the elite of Hollywood.

Although, she was criticised for coughing and clearing her throat in the middle of her speech, she says things could have been much embarrassing.

“I wouldn”t have been able to finish the sentence had I not gone (and cleared my throat). Then I would”ve gotten more criticism for not being able to speak at the Oscars – which is worse than clearing your throat at the Oscars. It’’s all good. There are a few things that replay in my head like, oh that happened, why? Why?” the Daily Star quoted Stewart, as saying.

She added: “A lot of it I find funny. The coughing I did find funny. This is going to baffle some people, but I was so proud of myself that night. I didn”t fall down or anything!”
