MUMBAI,INDIA NEWS: Ever since her break up with Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika has been quiet on all the rumours that are coming her way. While she is doing quite well for herself in the industry today, Bollywood is a place where no reaction/comment equates to acceptance of the ‘charge’ (for a lack of better word).
While quite a few out there have ample opportunity to write, discuss and debate at their own free will, doesn’t she feel that a firm ’shut up’ from her long back would have eased out the situation for her in a far better way? After all her firm stand on the situation would have kept people away from speculating and she too would have been able to concentrate far better on her work. A silence on her part has seemingly resulted in quite a lot of heartburn for her as well as wastage of precious time.
“I have started believing that people would want to write what they want to write. Also, something like this is a phase and though stories like these do excite a few people out there, I know that it would pass”, says Deepika in a matter of fact tone, “I would do things that I want to do. However, something which I want to announce loud and clear is that don’t take my silence for granted. Just because I don’t say anything, it isn’t like I am not listening.”
Well, one can pretty much understand where she is coming from. After all in the recent past, other than Siddharth Mallya (owner of the Bangalore team in IPL), she has also been linked up with the likes of Farhan Akhtar, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Shahid Kapoor. While her closeness with Farhan was much talked about, it expectedly died a silent death after the release of KARTHIK CALLING KARTHIK. There was a brief period of speculation which came in after she was seen with Shahid. And later when she was seen in public with her LAFANGE PARINDE co-star Neil, tongues had started wagging again. However, majority of these gossips were only momentarily once her pictures were clicked with Siddharth at the ongoing IPL tournament.
