MUMBAI,INDIAN NEWS: Suniel Shetty is one actor who has always been on the forefront when it comes to sports, particularly cricket – whether it be for charity, for promotion of the game or simply for fun. And why not when Shetty himself used to be an avid cricket player at university level. While a few months back he was seen campaigning for hockey, now the actor is having a rocking time watching the IPL matches. More so because of the heady cocktail of cricket and Bollywood that it offers.
“I have always loved cricket and I watch a lot of matches. And when cricket and the glam world meet, it makes an even more interesting watch,” he says referring to IPL which is so laden with celebrities. Suniel has also been associated with another very interesting format of cricket, called Gulli Cricket, which has been initiated by Doordarshan and some other organisations to promote the game and the teams consisting of amateur cricketers.
